Anyone got stumped by the voting chop?

Tried to manually open the lid... cannot.
Thought maybe it was the other side... ended up unscrewing the handle by accident.

Then just put on the paper n push... end up it opened magically and put a big fat x. Heng I planted it on the guy I wanted to vote for.
