Stocks & Questions for N00b 2013

Hey guys,

Recently finally decided to stop my ILP insurance policy and decided to buy into stocks slowly, on blue chips stocks, probably those with dividends.

Found this forum a great place to read up and get many opinions on stocks trading. Was intent on using POEMS but after reading up on SCB online trading, realised that it is really cheap for trading of low volume :s12:

Meanwhile, for a n00b like me with limited funds, I was hoping to see what u guys would buy?
For P.E, how would I go about to check out each stocks PE ratio?
For example, is there a link where I can view PE of SGX stocks? for example, PE of singtel stocks?

I was advised to buy blue chip stocks with low P.E currently... :)
