Here we go again, so Google executives specifically asked YouTube personnel not to give access to the metadata of YouTube to Microsoft. So as to give Android users an edge in terms of features.
For a service that is used by most, they have already violated an anti competitive practice that should be scrutinized by the Antitrust.
This isn't just the only example of Google attempting to "weaken" Windows Phone for the past 2 years.

-Zynga didn't intend to port good titles like 'Draw Something' to Windows Phone until recently with the influence of Nokia -Removal of ExchangeActive Sync (A widely adopted protocol for email push, calendar, etc) in Q1 2013 for Google's in-house format (I don't see HOW they can compromise their own user just to attack Microsoft. And again, Google is just killing their own business user) -Breaking of Gmail for Windows Phone 8 on the day of release and caused a widespread battery draining issue due to constant syncing -YouTube client issues -and many more we may not know.. |
Quite a weird trend, the fact that Google is becoming like the old Microsoft and at the same time Microsoft is going in a completely different direction by opening up their software and services 1 by 1 like the old Google.
What are your views on this? Sorry if you find this thread useless, I just feel the need to speak up.
For any Windows Phone user, you shouldn't be using any of Google's service already. Switch immediately if you don't want to be a victim of the anti competitive war.
