Galaxy S8 not waterproofed

Dear all, I have an s8 which is not waterproof due to changing of LCD screen. Recently, the phone got into water in my bag, because my water bottle was not closed properly. How long will it take for the screen to then back on?

There is still notification alert, and when you press bottom of the screening there is still the feedback vibration.

I have placed it inside a ziplock bag filled with uncooked rice. Hope it is going to help. Could LCD be damaged???
