I don't get it. I thought the purpose of university scholarships which SG gahmen is using to attract foreigners from ASEAN/Greater China region is to get a pool of talented individuals who will stay in Singapore and work / serve their bond after they graduate so that they may become PRs, citizens of Singapore.. Then why do the students post such profile cover?

If they love their own country so much, why did Singapore chose them in the first place? Might as well spend the scholarship money on our own citizens right? Don't you guys agree?
Do note that I am not criticising this guy. It is not wrong to love your own country. In fact, it's RIGHT to love your own country. I just don't understand why our gahmen want to attract them instead of spending the scholarship $$ on our own people who love our own country?
