The Indians and PRC that come to Singapore 10 years ago were usually very good. Some of the Indians were real talents but many of them used Singapore as stepping stones to go to US. The really talented PRC also left Singapore but they did not go to US. They went back to China.
Don't know why gradually over the years, the real talent became mere mediocres. Some are even below-average in competence but they make up by being below-average in salary. It seems from anecdotal evidence that plenty of people in IT industry have plenty of complaints about recent Indian FT. As for PRC, it seems that the FTs have stopped coming, maybe because China's PMET salary has caught up with Singapore. The big influx now are Pinoys and increasingly, Myanmar.
This was my personal experience. Anyone else experience same thing?
PS: Try not to get emotional and make sweeping statements.
