Singtel - No Internet unless manual IPv4, 2Wire prob?

Getting pissed, not the first time, but this is nuts.

So now, even after changing the 2wire 5012 router, there's no internet connection for lan/wan unless IPv4 settings are done manually.

This is bs.

So I just want to confirm that this is the 2wire modem's issue as I'm seriously contemplating doing a bridge to a 3rd party router.

I've got miovoice and miotv as well, otherwise I'd have thrown the blardy thing away years ago.

Always had the problem with the old Mio and thought it'll be much better since fibre's a brand new infrastructure. So it seems like it's technically not Singtel that's the problem, but 2wire eh?

If confirm it's 2wire screwing up, I'm very likely using the Asus setup from here http://forums.hardwarezone.com.sg/ne...b-3351872.html

If any of you kinds souls are familiar with this, since I want to continue using miovoice and tv, I believe I connect it as:

ONT - N56U - 2wire
This is n56u with singtel presets, port 3 to 2wire for mvoice and port 4 to miotv.

But that leaves 2 lan ports for internet.

I'm wondering if there's a way to allow full usage of the n56u's ports for internet while retaining mvoice and mtv in the following set up:

ONT - 2wire (voice + tv) - N56u (Internet)

advise?
