My 13+ year female Maltese was having bloated tummy in Nov 2016, sent to the vet for blood test and ultrasound check. The result is that she is having tumors in the liver, which is likely to cause the bloating. The vet placed my dog on a hepatic diet and daily supplement such like Hepavite (Milk Thistle), Ursofalk and Zentonil (SAM-E) which costed me S$500 bill in total for checks and supplements. Those who are facing the same problem as me, you can try get the supplement/med on your own instead of visiting the vets frequently. On top of supplements, I am also giving my dog a daily dose of Manuka honey with UMF 20+. Thanks God, the bloating has subsided now as at Jan 2017. No need for invasive operations which will cost $3-4k.
