RUSSIAN President Vladimir Putin and his wife Lyudmila say they have divorced after three decades of marriage, in a joint interview with state television after watching a ballet performance. "It was a joint decision," Putin said during the interview with Rossia-24 television, quoted by Russian state news agencies. "Our marriage is over, really because of the fact that we practically never see each other," added Lyudmila. She and Putin agreed that they would have "a civilised divorce," she said. Lyudmila has rarely been seen in public. She and Putin married in 1983. They have two grown daughters. |
