Faye Wong has made plans to send her 16-year-old daughter, Leah Dou, away to California for studies after she was pictured being close with a male schoolmate.
According to an Eastweek report, the schoolmate is a student of Indian descent at an international school in Shanghai, where Leah was transferred to from Beijing last year.
Photos showing the two being very comfortable with each other have also surfaced on the internet.
When this story made headlines, Faye felt that this may disrupt her daughter's studies so she promptly took measures to protect her daughter by sending her overseas.
Faye is also reportedly against Leah getting into any form of relationships until she turns 18.
