Dear all
It looks like my posting has created quite a bit of interest. Just for the record:
I have been working from home almost entire last week; also cleared MPS cases from home. The only time I went out of home last week was on Thursday to check on launch of our Fairprice on wheels that day; did some grocery shopping on another day.
Yesterday [Sunday], I went to my CC to sign some documents and also took a quick walk to the two Fairprice supermarkets in vicinity (this is part of my job to find out from time to time how operations were and situation is on the ground.) At same time as I walked through the estate , I would pass by the kopitiams in estate and also the wet market too. As I did this, I was also closely observing if residents and merchants were practising the safe distancing measures and as I said in my observations, I am happy that situation is very good and things are all in order.
Yes, one or two merchants in the wet market had some feedback for me as well when I was there . All short conversations.
Another two residents who saw me had some enquiries for me as I was walking and I gave them my advice accordingly . All parties concerned observed the safe distancing rules.
Lets focus on what we all need to do which is to ensure we get through this crisis together and ensure all residents who needs assistance are helped. And work as a team whether you are part of those providing essential services or WFH. If I can make a call out, I hope all of us make things easy for the essential workers and also all the SDAs.
Let us continue to show our appreciation to all those who are going to work day in, day out to provide these essential services for us. And where we know of people who need help, do let us know.
Thanks all for your concern and apologies if I caused some to be perturbed by my posting.
Today is Monday so it is WFH again and MPS later this evening, the virtual and phone call way.
Stay safe all.
