suspect laptop is being controlled remotely.

yesterday downloaded a shady program. i still download it because there were good reviews. then today switch on computer and go bathe, come back my program was on, my game was on and i lose all in-game item. :(

so can say is my own fault. now what do i do? can system restore solve this or must reboot to factory setting :(
