Take Miss Melanie Lee, who spent $1,000 on a lavish birthday party for her poodle.
She treated guests to a buffet spread, door gifts and two birthday cakes. She also has photos of her and her dog taken professionally.
Other dog owners also tell us why they splurge on healthy "tingkat" - or home delivery - meals for their pooches, and send them to spas that cost $200 a pop.
