ipad storage space - 32gb vs 128gb

which one should i get?
apple store selling 32gb at $498 & 128gb at $648 for 2018 wifi only model.

usage wise, i'll probably d/l a few games for passing time (i'm not a hardcore gamer) + web surfing + drama streaming.

i currently already have the following devices:
- iphone x 64gb (main device which stores my photos, videos, etc. more than enough for me storage wise)
- iphone 7plus 128gb (not really using now, kept as spare/work phone waiting to sell off)
- asus tablet (2 year old tablet which is super laggy & slow now - only used for watching my dramas)
- microsoft surface pro mainly for work or when i need to do things with a laptop.

i feel that the 32gb version would be more than sufficient for me, but the husb thinks otherwise as he feels that it will become slow & laggy as time goes by - this is what happened to his ipad 2 which takes eons to even turn on now lol.

any suggestions?

also, i'm considering between the 2017 & 2018 version as i understand there are only two major differences i.e apple pencil compatibility & A9 vs A10 processor chip. i feel like i may not need the apple pencil function & could save a bit by getting the 2017 version.
