The police arrested five men last year for stealing credit cards through the mail.
Four of them have been dealt with by the courts while the fifth is still under investigation.
It is believed that the men, all of whom are local, were part of a local syndicate that had been targeting new credit cards sent through the mail.
They are understood to have made thousands of dollars by using the new cards to make transactions on big ticket items before disposing of them.
