The Population White Paper debate has generated much lively debate in Parliament.
So far, one Nominated Member of Parliament (NMP), Mr Laurence Lien, and nine members of the Workers Party have said they wont support the paper.
Only one member of the Peoples Action Party, MP for Ang Mo Kio GRC Inderjit Singh, has indicated to The New Paper that he opposes the 6.9 million population projected figure by 2030 and increasing the number of Permanent Residents and new citizens.
Should the PAP lift the party whip to allow its members to vote freely?
