Just wanted to post a thread to share a little on my 4-room BTO flat renovation, hopefully this would be useful to people here.
Same as most of the forumers here, I compared several quotes against contractors with Interior Designers and finally decided to go with a ID company after deep consideration.
Many shared about the PROS and CONS of contractors and ID. Of course, ID take the % margin mark up in between the contractors. However, I advise to consult a few of them on their quotation and the quality/service they can provide
Just to list some of the stuffs I did:
- Kitchen Top and bottom cabinets with iQuartz table top with soft closing hinge and internal color PVC, tempered glass backing, dish rack with blum, Cabinet base, Swing door, labour installation, added some extension of the wall to make my kitchen longer
- Living hall Bomb shelter shoe cabinets ~ 9FT, feature wall, tv console, false ceiling cove light, boxing up of aircon piping
- MBR Sliding aluminium frame with glass door, mirror cabinets, L box
- Common bedroom just 1 swing wardrobe ~5FT
- Master toilet Overlay tiles wall & floor together with installation of vanity cabinets and toilet accessories, shower kerb, glass swing door, Install new PD door
- Common bedroom toilet tempered glass, shower kerb etc
- Tiling works for living hall and bedrooms
- Electrical works whole house
- Painting whole house
After confirmation of my ID design, right now my false ceiling is up and tiling work is completed, I will update this thread as we go on the designs and stages of completion:
