At 16, Cheri Teo is the youngest finalist of New Face 2018. And she has been juggling school and a busy schedule.
Although the competition's audition and photo shoots took place in the weeks leading up to her final examinations, the 1.76m-tall Raffles Girls' School Secondary 4 student said she is "doing quite well in school" and has kept up with her revision.
She has a grade point average of 4.0 in seven subjects, and is in the school's Raffles Academy for Physics, a programme that allows students with interest in a subject to further their knowledge and skills.
While modelling in the midst of her school work can be a challenge, Cheri believes all the effort is worth it.
She said: "I am so grateful for the opportunity to be a finalist in New Face 2018. The journey so far has been tough but so fulfilling and I cannot thank everyone who has helped me along the way enough."

At the Kallang Wave Mall at 4.30pm yesterday, at least 10 fans were sitting near the booths in the heat, chatting.
One of them, who identified herself as Ms Toh Sohyee, said she had arrived at about 9am to start queueing and was planning to stay there until Saturday, when tickets go on sale from 10am.

SG and Juice having more collaboration on Dual Listings
A UNIQUE pact inked in May between the stock exchanges of Singapore and Israel to court dual listings of capital-hungry high-tech Israeli start ups could ignite activity as early as in the first half of next year, with "dozens" more such listings expected over the next three years, the head honcho of the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange (TASE) has said.
Ittai Ben-Zeev, in an interview with The Business Times, said: "We are not talking about two or three companies undertaking dual IPOs (initial public offerings) ... we expect 30 to 50 companies to leverage over the next three years on this collaboration."
